SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) – Gary Radnich joins Mark Danon for today’s edition of The World According to Gary to talk about the Giants win, 49ers favored to lose and a high school football player gets stitches.

The San Francisco Giants beat the Cincinnati Reds in San Francisco Wednesday night. The Giants’ pitcher Jake Peavy hit a home run making that the ninth home run hit by a pitcher in the season for the Giants, the most since 1934.

Peavy was the fifth pitcher to hit a home run this year for the Giants.

The Pittsburgh Steelers are favored for the game against the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday at 10 a.m. in Pittsburgh. Danon found research that says west coast football teams that have travel for 10 a.m. Sunday games only win 35.5 percent of the time.

A New Jersey high school football player hit another player in the face with his helmet causing his opponent to need 10 stitches.
