SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — San Francisco officials and California Highway Patrol investigators are taking apart the double-decker tour bus that crashed last Friday in Union Square.
Investigators are trying to determine what caused it to go barrelling out of control down Post Street into Union Square, a popular tourist destination. Officials are checking brakes, tires, and lights, among other critical items, of double-decker buses in the fleet.
KRON’s Maureen Kelly showed the safety inspectors, who arrived Friday morning at the garage of the company which operated the crashed tour bus.
