UPDATE: Trains are now moving at full speed.


SUNNYVALE (KRON) — A Caltrain traveling south has hit an occupied vehicle in Sunnyvale Monday afternoon, Caltrain said.

Police said it happened at around 5:27 p.m. at the Mary Avenue crossing, according to communications officer Tasha Bartholomew. Southbound Train #262 had 355 passengers onboard at the time.

No injuries were reported. Emergency crews are on-scene.

San Mateo County Transit Police are investigating the crash.

Trains are currently stopped in both directions near the incident, Caltrain said.

No other information was made available by Caltrain.

Crews are currently in the clearing stages of the incident.

VTA is honoring Caltrain tickets from San Jose Diridon to Mountain View and from San Jose to Gilroy. Safety and inspection teams en route. Trains still stopped in both directions as we assess potential damage to locomotive and remove the vehicle from the tracks. A tow truck is on the way. Passengers should expect delays up to 60 minutes.
