SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — It has happened again, as another sideshow was reported in the Bay Area, this time on the Bay Bridge, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Officers said it happened on Saturday at around 12:45 p.m. Many 911 calls started pouring in, as people had to stop on the upper deck of the Bay Bridge in the westbound direction.
This happened right as you are heading into San Francisco past Treasure Island, officers said.
An Instagram video showed the apparent sideshow on the Bay Bridge, which surfaced earlier this week, leading the CHP to open up the investigation.
CHP Officer Vu Williams could not specifically confirm that the video shows the incident that occurred on Saturday.
But Williams did say that the vehicle in the video “very closely” matches the description of the suspect vehicle from Saturday.
The CHP sent a bunch of officers but could not catch the suspect car–a Pontiac GTO.
There were reports that a pick-up truck was behind the vehicle shooting the donuts.
CHP is investigating the incident.
