FRESNO (KRON) — A Fresno gang member is now behind bars after police found firearms and dozens of marijuana plants in his house, police said.

33-year-old Khamprasong Thammavong was arrested around 5:40 p.m. on Monday and booked into Fresno County Jail on numerous felony charges including felon in possession of a firearm and cultivation of marijuana, according to authorities

Cops pulled over Thammavong, who is a documented Laos Blood gang member on probation, and asked him for his address. Since he was on probation, police were able to search his house without a warrant.

During the search, officers found pictures of Thammavong posing with different guns. They then found the guns pictured, a semi-automatic rifle and a semi-automatic handgun, in his residence.

Officers also found tactical gear similar to law enforcement equipment, a marijuana grow consisting of 38 plants and narcotics paraphernalia, according to police.

The guns were not registered to Thammavong and he does not hold a license to possess or grow marijuana.

This investigation is being forwarded to narcotic detectives and code enforcement officials for further follow-up investigation, according to police.
