SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — A construction worker has died at the Moscone Center in San Francisco Friday morning, according to police.
The worker was fatally injured at around 6:45 a.m. at the Moscone Convention Center Expansion project located near 747 Howard Street, police said.
The man was an employee of a heavy equipment rental company and was there to retrieve up an aerial work platform, or also known as a high reach boom, and take it back to the rental company.
During the process of removing the machine, the man was crushed between the heavy device and a concrete structure, authorities said.
911 was called but emergency crews were unable to resuscitate the man.
