OAKLAND (KRON) — Oakland Raiders’ Aldon Smith has checked into rehab, according to a report by TMZ Sports.

It is unclear what Smith is seeking treatment for but recently a video surfaced that appears to show the linebacker smoking a blunt.

The following day, Smith took to twitter to deny that it was him.

This isn’t Smith’s first time in rehab. He went to treatment in 2013 following two DUI arrests.

Smith has had multiple run-ins with the law since he arrived in the Bay Area as a first-round draft pick in 2011.

In August 2015, Smith was arrested for a third DUI and the San Francisco 49ers released him.

The linebacker then signed with the Raiders but was suspended from the NFL for a year in November due to the league’s substance abuse policy.Stay with KRON4 News for updates
