(WKRG) — An Alabama man is behind bars for allegedly raping a woman he met online and briefly dated.

Joseph Jordan was arrested Wednesday after a month-long investigation by the Loxley Police Department. Investigators say Jordan met the victim on the internet earlier this summer and the two began spending time together.

Investigators say the woman was held against her will and raped after she tried to end her relationship with Jordan.

Jordan is charged with first-degree rape. He’s being held in the Baldwin County Jail on $25,000 bail.
