SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — Here is proof that pet microchips really work.

A dog lost for more than 10 years has finally been found and is now returning home.

A woman was walking her dog at Fort Funston on Tuesday when she heard an unusual noise. After following it, she found a dog on the side of the hill without a collar and needing help.

It turns out that animal care workers found a microchip on the dog. It revealed the pup had been missing for 10 years.

Now the dog, who’s name is Moo Shu, will be reuniting with her long-lost owners once again.
