SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — People gathered at the San Francisco Zoo at the Polar Bear Exhibit, to watch and enjoy one of the polar bears receiving a very special delivery, Friday morning.

According to zoo officials, “Uulu” the oldest polar bear in North America, received ten tons of snow brought by the company ABODA for the polar bear to roll and relax in.

ABODA, a leader in providing global housing solutions for some of the world’s best-known brands, generously sponsored the snow to enhance “Uulu’s” space.

“At ABODA, it’s our mission to connect people on the move with services tailored to make them feel at home,” said Lee Curtis, CCHP, President of ABODA Global Housing Management. “Delivering a snow day to Uulu is our way of extending the early comforts of winter to her as well as doing a great thing for our local community in the Bay Area.”

Zoo officials said “Uulu” has lived at the San Francisco Zoo and Gardens since 1985. The zoo gave her a permanent home after she was caught foraging in a dump and attempting to get into residential homes in Churchill, Canada.
