FRANKLIN COUNTY, MO (KRON)-A woman was held captive in her home and beaten for hours by her husband until a UPS driver showed up to pick up a package.
Russell Kinsaul, the UPS driver came to the door after being called to pick up a package and as he was getting it the wife wrote “CONTACT 911” on the box.
33-year-old James Jordan is charged with physically and sexually abusing his wife. According to court documents he punched, threatened to kill her and dragged her back inside by her hair when she tried to run away.
The abuse lasted throughout Monday night and Tuesday morning with no way for the woman to call for help.
The couple’s 3-year-old was locked in his room for 15 hours with no food or water while his mother was being assaulted.
Deputies arrived, arrested Jordan and put an end to the woman’s nightmare, thanks to the UPS driver.
Jordan is charged with domestic assault, sodomy, felonious restraint, unlawful use of a weapon and endangering the welfare of a child.
His bond is set at $100,000 cash-only.CNN newssource contributed to this report.
