TRUCKEE (KRON) — Interstate 80 over the Donner Summit was shut down Wednesday morning due to extremely low visibility. I-80 has since been reopened but chains will be required.
All westbound and eastbound traffic was at a halt. Officials say the blowing snow is causing low visibility and car spin outs.
