SANTA ROSA (BCN) — Police in Santa Rosa arrested eight alleged DUI offenders Friday during a warrant sweep funded by the California Office of Traffic Safety and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
The suspects had either failed to show up for a court date or allegedly violated the terms of their probation in a DUI case, according to police.
Officers participating in Friday’s operation reportedly had dozens of outstanding arrest warrants to work with.
The Santa Rosa Police Department says it places a high priority on reducing DUI related injuries and deaths.
