San Francisco police have arrested a man accused of tagging San Francisco with “Bart Simpson” graffiti, police said.

Police responded at around 2:52 a.m. Tuesday to the 600 block of Jackson Street over a vandalism call. Officers found a man was painting an image of ‘The Simpsons’ character BART Simpson.

Later, police say they saw the man near the corner of Grant Avenue and Jackson Street. They detained 27-year-old Tyler Ross, a transient.

Police say Ross had paint on his hands and had an open grocery bag with spray paint inside. He also had paint markers, white-out pens, etching pens, and a Bart Simpson keychain, authorities said.

An officer found a “freshly spray painted image” of BART Simpson in the 700 block of Jackson Street.

The paint in the graffiti matched the paint Ross had, police said.

Ross was arrested and booked into the San Francisco County Jail for felony and misdemeanor vandalism.
