FOSTER CITY (KRON) — Once a month, you have a higher chance of getting stopped for a traffic violation, if you are in one Bay Area county–San Mateo County.

That is because of orchestrated crackdowns. And police said because of this higher police presence in 2014, there was a reported 10 percent reduction in injury-related crashes.

So, what were the officers looking for? Distracted Driving. KRON’s Stanley Roberts visits Foster City to catch those not focusing on the road.
