A $3 bridge toll hike is on the June ballot for the Bay Area aimed at raising money for transportation improvements.
But an East Bay congressman says he’s strongly opposed–no matter how bad traffic congestion is getting.
Congressman Mark DeSaulnier says it’s a grab bag of projects thrown together behind closed doors.
He says a real remedy needs better planning and analysis.
And some of the projects might not even have necessary approval.
DeSaulnier told KRON4’s Catherine Heenan on Friday that he believes the proposed $3 bridge toll hike for the Bay Area’s state-owned toll bridges would cost a lot–and probably not improve commutes much.
