ANTIOCH — Antioch police have arrested a 17-year-old boy accused of kidnapping and raping a Domino’s Pizza delivery driver Sunday morning.
The victim told police that the attack happened as she was delivering a pizza at a residence on the at about 11:20 a.m. The victim had exited her car when the suspect approached the woman and allegedly forced her back into her vehicle at gunpoint.
According to police, the teen ordered her to drive to an undisclosed location a few blocks away where he proceeded to rape the victim.
After the attack, the suspect forced the woman to drive him back to the residence on Bluebell Circle, robbed the woman, and ran into the home.
The victim reported the assault and police arrested the boy at the residence. Authorities will not identify the boy because of his age.
Domino’s spokesman Tim McIntyre said in a statement Monday that the company is working with the local franchise owner to provide the victim with anything she needs.
“It is unthinkable that something like this could happen to an innocent woman, simply trying to earn a living,” McIntyre said. “We are grateful for the Antioch Police Department’s swift action and we hope the person who committed this heinous crime is prosecuted and punished to the fullest extent of the law.”
The teen was arrested on a variety of charges and sent to Juvenile Hall.
