SONOMA COUNTY (KRON) — Sonoma County Sheriff officials are hoping the public can help identify a woman’s body pulled from the ocean in Jenner.
Officials say they responded to reports of a body at Driftwood Beach on the north side of the mouth of Russian River on Saturday.
Crews were able to remove the body from the water. The deceased has been described as a white woman between 20 and 35 years old, 5’2 and weighing about 100 pounds.
At this time it is unknown how long the body had been in the water before being discovered.
Sheriff’s officials say the woman had a one-inch circular scar on the side of her upper chest and had undergone an appendectomy.
She was found clothed in MPG brand multi-colored yoga capris, size extra small, and was also wearing size 8 brown Teva boots and hiking socks.
The cause of death is still unknown and officials don’t believe foul play is involved.
Anyone with information should contact police.
