SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — A 22-year-old man is recovering after being stabbed multiple times while in San Francisco’s Mission District early Thursday morning.

The man told police he was standing at the corner of 16th and Mission streets when two men came up to him, asking where he was from.

The victim replied “nowhere”.

That’s when he says the men punched him, kicking him to the ground.

One of the men pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim in his stomach, neck and back.

The injured man was taken to the hospital with injuries that are not considered to be life-threatening.

The other two men left the area before police arrived.

No arrests have been made, nor do police know what brought on this attack.
