VALLEJO (KRON) — The Vallejo Police Department has asked the FBI for help with a possible kidnapping for ransom.  30-year-old Denise Huskins was last seen Monday morning on Mare Island, according to police.

The possible kidnapping happened in the 500 block of Kirkland Avenue. Huskin’s 30-year-old boyfriend contacted Vallejo police just before 2 p.m. on Monday to report the alleged kidnapping.

Huskins’ family is on their way to Vallejo from southern California to aid in the search.

Police announced that they found Huskins’ car, a 2000 Toyota Camry, several miles from her residence. The Vallejo Police Department has not released how much is being asked in ransom, or any possible suspects.

Authorities are investigating why it took so long for her boyfriend to report that Huskins had been taken. Authorities said that he is not a suspect.
