SANTA CRUZ (KRON) — Police officers with the Santa Cruz Police Department are looking for the man who robbed a Santa Cruz bank Friday afternoon.
SCPD was called to the 100 block of Morrissey Boulevard at 3 p.m. Friday, after getting a call about a bank robbery.
By the time police got to the bank, the man had already left the bank with an undisclosed amount of money.
The man used a note demanding money, but did not appear to have a weapon.
Earlier that day, the same person was seen at the Rabo Bank in the 3100 block of Mission Dr.
Bank employees say he was acting suspicious, but left without committing any crimes.
When they went up to the man, they were surprised to see that although he was dressed like a woman, he is actually a man.
Santa Cruz police think the man was possibly casing the bank.
The man is described as about 25-35 years old, 160-170 pounds, 5’5″ tall, with dark skin.
At the time of the bank robbery, the man was wearing prescription glasses, a wavy blond wig, navy blue scrubs, and a light purple long sleeve undershirt.
