SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — 2014 World Series MVP Madison Bumgarner brought in the championship banner on a horse today at AT&T Park for the Giants home opener against the Rockies.

Mad Bum on a horse wasn’t the only highlight during the nearly 45 minute ceremony. Pitcher Tim Lincecum, catcher Buster Posey, and manager Bruce Bochy kicked-off the event by each carrying in one of the Giant’s three World Series trophies.

The ceremony also included a moving tribute to legendary Giants and Bay Area broadcaster Lon Simmons, with the first pitch being thrown out by his children.

The Giants are hoping to snap a three game losing streak against Colorado.
