LOS ALTOS (KRON) — You know you’re having a rough day when you lose your boat on a highway. That’s what appears to have happened Friday morning on Highway 280, according to a KRON viewer who sent in this image.
The dreaded morning commute was impacted as drivers had to make their way around a boat in the roadway on northbound Highway 280 near the Magdalena Avenue exit in Los Altos. Carpoolers Brent Stutler, who snapped the image, and Matt Aldridge were on their way to work in Palo Alto off Page Mill Road when they came across this scene.
It’s unclear if the driver who had been towing the boat noticed his craft had launched prematurely. Doesn’t this sound like one of those nightmares when you look in your rear-view mirror to find your cargo missing?
