VALLEJO (BCN) — Police are investigating a shooting Friday evening in Vallejo that left a 36-year-old man injured, a police lieutenant said Saturday.
Officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 1200 block of Rice Street at 7:46 p.m. where they found the man outside of his home with a gunshot wound, Lt. Kevin Bartlett said. The wound was not considered life threatening.
Officers used non-lethal flash grenades or “distraction devices” before sweeping the house to search for possible suspects, Bartlett said.
Detectives are investigating leads but Bartlett said that as of Saturday afternoon, no arrests had been made. He said he didn’t have any information on the motive for the shooting.
No further information was immediately available.
