VALLEJO (KRON) — Two people were hurt in a drive-by shooting in Vallejo Thursday evening.

Lt. Herman Robinson of the Vallejo Police Department said that a group of people were standing by a parked Nissan Maxima in the 400 block of Fifth Street at 6:38 p.m. when a silver Toyota Yaris pulled up and started a person inside started shooting at the crowd.

The car was hit sever times, and two people were also hit by gunfire.

A 41-year-old Vallejo resident was hit twice in the arm. He was taken to the hospital in a private car.

The other person shot, a 31-year-old Vallejo resident was taken to the hospital in an ambulance. He is listed in stable condition.

Police do not have a description of the shooter or shooters and the motive for the shooting remains under investigation, Robinson said.
