SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — The robbery suspects who struck a pedestrian with their getaway car on Market Street late Tuesday evening are still at large, according to police.
According to San Francisco police, around 10:32 p.m. officers in a marked police car began pursuing robbery suspects driving a blue four-door BMW. Police began following the BMW near the corner of 8th and Market Streets.
The vehicle fled from officers and struck a pedestrian, gravely injuring them. The suspects continued driving, evading police.
Officers followed the suspect vehicle as it traveled across the Bay Bridge, but lost sight of the vehicle near the Interstate Highway 580 split, according to police.
The pedestrian was transported to San Francisco General Hospital with life threatening injuries, police said.
The suspects are still at large.
