ANTIOCH (KRON) — A vehicle struck a 14 year-old girl, sending her to the hospital with serious injuries, according to Antioch police on Wednesday.

The collision happened at about 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday night at the intersection of Gentrytown Dr. and Johnson Dr.

Police say the teenage victim sustained serious injuries. Emergency crews took her to Oakland Children’s Hospital.

Officers say the driver, a 20-year-old Antioch man, remained on the scene and has been cooperative with investigators. They say it appears alcohol and drugs were not factors in the crash.
