MARIN COUNTY (KRON) — In the North Bay, the rain started early Wednesday morning. Despite that, officials with the Marin Water District are still enforcing the state’s new water regulations.
Libby Pashel with the Marin Municipal Water District says that the county got about an eighth of an inch of rain on Wednesday, not enough to make a dent in the drought.
While it may not make a difference, every little bit helps with the drought.
With the recent rains, officials want to remind residents that new state regulations say that people cannot irrigate for 48 hours after it rains.
Pashel also said that it’s best to check before watering to see if plants and grass actually need the water, reminding people that the state is still in a severe drought.
