OAKLAND (KRON) — For the 23rd year, the Oakland Zoo will host its biggest party of the year, “A Walk in the Wild- An Epicurean Escapade!”

During the event, more than 120 different vendors, including restaurants, bakeries, wineries and breweries will be on-site at the Zoo. All will be offering samples to party goers.

This year’s “Walk in the Wild” event is sponsored by Taiwan. The island nation has been devoting efforts and resources into the development of Green Tourism. Taiwan is home to the world’s highest concentration of butterfly and bird species, as well as a protected habitat for the critically endangered Taiwan Formosan Black Bear and white dolphins.

Along with their contribution, the Taiwan Tourism Bureau’s Oh!Bear mascot will be on hand to greet guests during the adults-only event. Guess will also be offered treats of Bubble Tea and Pineapple pastries.

The event is scheduled for June 27, from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m.

Tickets for the event start at $150, will all proceeds going to help the Oakland Zoo provide the highest quality animal care and exhibits. Proceeds will also help the zoo support the protection of endangered species worldwide, and provide educational programs.
