(KRON) — Prolific actor Dick Van Patten, famous for his role in the TV series ‘Eight is Enough’ has died at the age of 86.
People Magazine reports that Van Patten died Tuesday morning at a hospital in Santa Monica due to complications from diabetes.
Van Patten also starred in “The New Dick Van Dyke Show,” “Happy Days,” “The Love Boat,” “That 70s Show” and “Arrested Development.”
He was known by many for his appearances in Mel Brooks films including “Spaceballs” and “Robin Hood: Men in Tights.”
Van Patten will be missed by many.
