SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — A man was shot at early Thursday morning while driving a vehicle in San Francisco’s Bayview District, but escaped injury, according to police.
The shooting happened on Gilman Avenue and Griffith Street near Gilman Playground and Bret Harte Elementary School. A man in his 30s entered the vehicle just after midnight, and as he was driving away a suspect fired multiple gunshots in his direction, striking his vehicle.
The victim wasn’t hit by any bullets as he sped away. The driver was unable to see the suspect, according to police.
Officers have not identified the suspect and are continuing to investigate the shooting and determine a possible motive.
