SAN JOSE (KRON) — A man who died after his truck crashed into a light pole in San Jose early Tuesday morning has been identified today as 53-year-old Louis Romero, according to the Santa Clara County medical examiner’s office.
The crash was reported at 5:52 a.m. in the 800 block of Saratoga Avenue, where the car struck the light post, San Jose police Officer Albert Morales said.
Romero was the driver and only occupant of the vehicle when it crashed, and was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead, Morales said.
It is unclear what caused the crash, which police are investigating this morning.
