VALLEJO (BCN) — Police investigated a shooting Friday evening in Vallejo but did not located a victim or a suspect, despite the presence of blood and bullet shell casings at the scene, a police lieutenant said.
Officers responded at 8:39 p.m. to reports of five gunshots in the 300 block of Wallace Avenue, Vallejo police Lt. Herman Robinson said.
Officers checked the area and found blood on the front porch and stairs of a home, but Robinson said officers could not locate a victim. They forced entry into the house, but no one was home, he said.
No one transported themselves to a hospital, either, and no suspects have been identified, he said.
“Right now we have virtually nothing,” Robinson said.
Officers also found several shell casings in the area and Robinson said the rear window of a Lexus was shot out in front of a house at the corner of Starr and Wallace avenues.
He’s asking anyone with information about the shooting to contact Vallejo police at (707) 552-3285.
