A brush fire had closed southbound 101 near Gilroy on Wednesday evening.
But at around 6:30 p.m, the lanes have reopened with residual delays.
The fire is burning in the area of East San Martin Avenue in San Martin.
The fire broke out at around 6 p.m.
The fire has burned about 20 acres, with black smoke now turning gray.
The blaze destroyed at least one home and several outbuildings.
No other structures are threatened at this time.
Firefighters will be out there for the rest of the evening.
There is no estimated percentage on containment at this time.
Officials say the fire will be contained sometime Thursday night.
