SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — It could soon become more difficult to check out the scenic view at Twin Peaks.

The San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency is calling for a ban on all vehicle traffic on the eastern side, according to SFMTA spokesman Paul Rose. That is the side that views downtown San Francisco.

Drivers will still be able to drive along the western side and the parking lot will remain open. The purpose is to increase pedestrian safety.

No word on when the SFMTA will make the final decision.
