INDIANAPOLIS (WEHT) — A student in Indianapolis got in trouble for recording a fight in her high school.
The female student received a three-day suspension for violating a school code.
Tamia Murray said when the fight broke out, she thought it was important to capture it.
Murray’s videos were live on Facebook and it’s how her mom Paula found out something was going on.
Recording a fight is against the Indianapolis Public School student code of conduct. It’s considered a level three offense but could rise to a level 4, which would lead to expulsion.
Tamia was given a three-day suspension. A school document said the suspension was for ‘filming numerous fights.’
