LAKE TAHOE (AP) — Authorities have identified a paddle boarder who went missing in Lake Tahoe as a University of Nevada, Reno football player.
The Placer County Sheriff’s Office says the search was ongoing Saturday for Marc Ma.
According to a news release, Ma was on a paddle board trip with several football players Friday afternoon.
The group was paddle boarding off Lake Tahoe’s west shore when they encountered strong winds.
Ma’s board was found adrift.
Ma, who is from Honolulu, Hawaii, is listed on the Nevada Wolf Pack website as a sophomore who plays defensive end.
