LOS ANGELES (AP) – Los Angeles firefighters say four people were injured, two critically, by a raging fire that engulfed a large home on the northern edge of the San Fernando Valley.
Fire Department spokesman Brian Humphrey says the blaze, first mistaken for a brushfire, was reported about 8 p.m. Saturday in the La Tuna Canyon area of Sun Valley.
Humphrey says a man and a woman, both occupants of the home, were hospitalized in grave condition.
A third adult was also hospitalized with smoke inhalation and a burn.
A firefighter suffered a less serious injury.
It took firefighters nearly a half hour to extinguish the blaze.
