The Los Angeles Angels designated Lincecum for assignment on Saturday following a rough outing against the Seattle Mariners. The veteran have up 6 earned runs and 9 hits in just 3.1 innings pitched on Friday.

In 9 starts for the Angels this season, Lincecum is 2-6 with a horrid 9.16 ERA.

The Giants and Oakland A’s were both among the teams rumored to be interested in the former star when he was attempting his MLB return.
