NASHVILLE, Tennessee (KRON) — Rapper Nelly is apparently not paying his taxes.
According to the IRS, he owes them nearly $2.5 million.
The agency slapped him with a lien on the money he hasn’t paid since 2013.
That means if he doesn’t start paying up, they could start seizing his assets and property.
TMZ reports Nelly also owes the State of Missouri about $150,000 in taxes from the same year.
Sources said the star is already working with the IRS to fix the problem.
Meanwhile, his fans are online working on boosting royalties and sharing his hits to help create revenue.
