Novato police are searching for a man who harassed a group of young girls as they were walking to school.
The girls, who attend Lynwood Elementary School, were walking along Sunset Parkway near Leafwood Drive.
A white man in his 50s with long blonde or white hair drove up to them in a white older model Ford truck.
He repeatedly said, “Hey,” to get their attention.
The girls ignored him and continued walking, but he followed them into their school’s parking lot before taking off.
Neighbors say the kids handled themselves well.
Erika Harris said, “They can always come into my door and tell me that they’re being bothered and I will call the police.”
School resource officers with the Novato Police Department are working trying to track down the man.
No similar incidents have been reported.
