LOS ALTOS HILLS (KRON) — Gunshots were reported in Los Alto Hills on Friday, and deputies have located everyone involved in a neighborhood, according to Santa Clara County sheriff’s Sgt. Richard Glennon.

Deputies responded to a report of shots fired just after 11 a.m. in the area of Oak Knoll Circle, Glennon said.

Investigators surrounded a property there. They believed everyone involved with the incident is at the scene, Glennon said.

Deputies found a man suffering from at least one gunshot wound, Glennon said. The man was transported to a hospital where he was sent to surgery, but Glennon didn’t have an update on his condition this afternoon.

Deputies haven’t released the name of any suspects. Investigators are working to identify a suspect in a shooting that left a man injured in a quiet Los Altos Hills neighborhood.

Residents in the area had been told to stay in their homes as the investigation continues, according to Glennon.

No arrests have been made, Glennon said.

People inside the residence where the shooting occurred followed deputies’ orders to exit, cooperated with investigators and were being interviewed, Glennon said.

Shortly before 1:30 p.m., everyone involved with the incident was found and the scene was deemed safe, sheriff’s officials said.

It’s unclear who fired the shots.

Investigators are looking for the weapon, bullets, shell casings and any other evidence at the scene, the spokesman said.

The injured man and everyone in the home were familiar with one another, Glennon said.Bay City News contributed to this report.
