NASHVILLE, TENN. (KRON) — Several students riding a school bus along a highway received injuries after the bus crashed and tipped over, Friday morning.
According to crews, two students are in critical but stable condition and at least 20 people were injured during the crash.
The accident happened on an off-ramp on Interstate 65 north of the downtown area, officials said.
The students from Chester County high school were headed to the Tennessee State Convention for the National Beta Club at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel. Police said most of the other injuries are not that serious.
Another bus was sent to pick up the remaining students who were uninjured during the accident.
An investigation is still ongoing, and crews have not decided what led to the crash.
