VALLEJO (KRON) — A woman found shot to death in a Vallejo home early Wednesday morning has been identified as 36-year-old Kenesha Jackson by Vallejo police.

At approximately 12:45 a.m., the Vallejo Police Department responded to a report of a shooting inside a residence located on the 600 block of Virginia Street.

Patrol officers arrived on scene and discovered an adult male and adult female inside the residence, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.

Medical personnel also responded and the female victim was pronounced dead at the scene. The male victim was transported to a local hospital and is listed in critical condition.

Earlier Wednesday afternoon, police arrested Everett Highbaugh, a 48-year-old Vallejo resident, in Oakland.

Vallejo Police Detectives and Crime Scene personnel were called in to investigate and process the crime scene for evidence.
