SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — The hottest new smartphone on the market may have a durability issue.

And the timing couldn’t be worse.

Samsung’s new Galaxy S8 phone was helping to repair their reputation after the recall debacle with their Note 7.

But now, a device stress test company, SquareTrade, says the design that makes it so appealing is flawed and cracks easily.

They conducted one of these drop tests in front of our Tech Reporter Gabe Slate.
