The Squaw Valley Fire Department is warning of a “very dangerous” avalanche hazard in the Sierra on Friday.
Here is the full statement from the fire department:
Sierra Avalanche Center has advised-Very dangerous avalanche conditions exist … Natural avalanches are likely and human-triggered avalanches are very likely …people that live in a Potential Avalanche Hazard Area (PAHA) should be aware and limit outdoor activity in avalanche hazard areas.
Earlier in March, an avalanche fell at Squaw Valley.
Nobody was hurt.
