Concord police are assisting the family of a missing 27-year-old man who was last seen a week ago.

KRON4’s Spencer Blake spoke with the family of David Kempker and they’re eager for him to come home.

Kempker has been living and working in Truckee for the past few years.

He was last in the early morning on Mar. 12th.

His family reported him missing the next day when he didn’t come home.

A family friend, Adrian Morse, says Kempker was loved by many.

“Nobody has a bad word to say about David,” Morse said.”I’ve never seen David at odds with anyone. I’ve never really seen him mad.”

Police say Kempker was last seen in Sacramento County, near Sherman Island.

Officers found his truck just off of Highway 160, but no trace of him.

His family says he loves outdoor activities but doesn’t go at it alone.

“He’s always in a large group of friends, pretty much everywhere he goes he’s got at least two or three friends with him,” Morse said.

On Sunday about 30 people searched around Sherman Island for any clues that may help with the investigation.
