All classes and college activities at Diablo Valley College’s Pleasant Hill campus have been canceled Thursday due to a threat, according to the college’s website.

The college says they are investigating a potentially serious threat that was made against the DVC Pleasant Hill campus.

They are closing the campus as a precaution.

The San Ramon location will remain open. 

The whole college will re-open on Friday.

Further details on the threat were not made available. 

Here is the statement from the college:

The Diablo Valley College-Pleasant Hill Campus will reopen and resume all scheduled classes, student services, and activities on Friday, March 23, 2018.  The San Ramon Campus will resume its regular schedule of Friday closure.
 
As a precaution, all classes and college activities at the Diablo Valley College-Pleasant Hill Campus were cancelled on March 22, 2018, due to a potentially serious threat made against the campus.

Contra Costa Community College District Police Services continued its investigation into this incident and found no additional evidence to corroborate the validity of a greater than normal risk to the campus community. The safety of students, faculty and staff remain a top priority.

The college encourages staff and students to contact Police Services should they see anything suspicious or have any information to help the investigation by calling (925) 229-6464.
