Some people just don’t get the message.
A driver was caught on I-680 in San Jose on Wednesday using a mannequin as a carpool lane buddy.
The California Highway Patrol was conducting carpool enforcement in the area and snapped a photo of the alleged carpool violator.
“Hope he’s not expecting his passenger to pay half the ticket!” the CHP said on Twitter with the hashtag #MannequinManipulation.

A carpool violation carries a $490 minimum fine in California.
