Police are searching for the suspect who injured a 93-year-old woman on Friday during a vicious attack in Concord.

Authorities say the incident happened around 4:00 p.m. at a Bank of America behind Sunvalley Mall.  

The victim was on her way inside the bank when she was assaulted.

Police said the suspect was waiting for the elderly woman to get out of her car. 

He attacked the woman and her caretaker. 

They were parked in a handicap spot when the suspect got out of his car and pushed the victim to the ground. 

He took both women’s purses and fled in a getaway car. 

Police say the suspect is described as 6’3″, heavy set, bald and has a beard.

KRON4’s Gayle Ong spoke with the victim’s son who was stunned beyond belief. 

The elderly woman suffered a broken hip and other injuries.
